Our commitment to sustainability

Sustainability is at the core of what we do and we’ve been ranked in the top three of the People and Planet league for the last decade. We have a strong circular economy group working on solutions in sectors such as textiles, concrete 3D printing and polymer 3D printing.

Meet the theme lead

This is a really exciting time to be involved in advanced materials and manufacturing. There is a regional focus on this theme in Greater Manchester. The UK government is investing heavily in the manufacturing sector and it is a growth area for the UK. I’m delighted that we'll be able to accelerate that with our research strengths at Manchester Met.
