About the week

Climate Action Week offers you lots of ways to get involved in improving sustainability here at Manchester Met and in our wider communities. Activities and events will be hosted by student groups, The Union and the University. Haven’t got time to attend an event? The Sustainability Team at the University will be leading the calendar of events, encouraging you to take action on environmental and sustainability issues such as climate change and food waste.

How to get involved

Check out the full list of activities below: From woodland workshops to lip balm and deodorant designing, get involved in Climate Action Week. It is a great opportunity for you to show your commitment, feel inspired and learn more about different issues.

Activities are open to all staff and students, and you can easily book online through Rise.

Nominate your most sustainable friend in the comments on our social media between the 7th – 11th with the reason why, If your comment makes an impact, you and your friend can win a ‘grow your own mushrooms’ kit or a vegan meal at Grove Eatery.
