Alongside his academic as Senior lecture role in the Department of Natural Sciences, Kosta  is the University’s Education for Sustainable Development Professional Development lead, delivering a unit as part of the University Teaching Academy (UTA) Continuing Professional Development programme for academic members of staff to embed ‘Education for Sustainable Development’ into curriculum.

He is also the convenor of the University Biodiversity Management Group, leads the development and implementation of a University biodiversity action plan, advising the University’s estates masterplan programme with regards to biodiversity and green space.
