Job and Placement Fair - November 5

50 organisations of all types

The second MMU Graduate Job & Placement Fair is fast approaching. The date for your diaries is:

Wednesday 5th November 2014, 11am – 3pm - Employability Hub & Business School Building

With over 50 organisations participating, this is a fantastic opportunity for students to network with employers and find out how to apply for a graduate job or placement.

Amongst those attending this year are: ASOS, Arcadia Group, BBC, Bentley Motors Limited, Bank of New York Mellon, Eli Lilly, Expedia.com, Kerry Group, Local Government Graduate Training, NHS Leadership and STP Programmes, Network Rail, Premier Inn, Thales, UK Fast, Vauxhall Motors and many many more!

Many sectors

Within the fair, a number of the employers will also be delivering a presentation about the business and their opportunities. University colleagues are also welcome to network with employers and attend presentations.

David Nelson, Careers & Employability Adviser, explained  “Our aim has been to involve organisations from as many sectors as possible, to reflect the diverse range of subjects our students study.

"We recognise that not all our students are recruited by large organisations with formal recruitment cycles but the fair is an excellent addition to our expanding programme of faculty-based events that connect MMU students with potential employers. These are employers who want to recruit MMU Students!”

He added: “Last year, the feedback from employers was fantastic. They were hugely impressed by the quality of students they met on the day and time again we were told how well prepared and engaged the students were. We are now making every effort to make sure it is the same again in 2014.”

Students can attend short ‘prepare for the fair’ workshops to get advice from Careers & Employability Advisers on how to make the most of the day and what to ask potential employers. Find out more about the workshops, view the full list of employers and register for the event at www.mmu.ac.uk/careersfair
