Graduation for International students

If you are an international student who has left the UK, please read this information if you are planning to join a graduation ceremony. 

What if I need a visa letter to attend? 

Please check UK government guidance on whether you need a visa to travel to the United Kingdom. If you require a visa invitation letter from the University, please request one as soon as possible by emailing gradinfo@mmu.ac.uk with the subject line: Graduation ceremony visa letter request. Please include your student ID number in the email. 

Obtaining a visa might take several weeks. Please remember to request a visa letter from the University and complete all legal requirements before you travel.

Award certificates

International students will be able to collect your certificate on the day of your graduation ceremony. We will not be presenting your certificate on the stage, but you will be able to collect it when you attend registration at The Midland Hotel before the ceremony. Please bring along a form of ID when collecting your certificate. 

Any certificates that are not collected will be sent to your permanent home address. Please ensure your postal address is correct. If you need to update your address, please contact studenthub@mmu.ac.uk before 30 June 2024.

Please state your full address including country and a PO box number if you have an international address.
