What do you enjoy most about your course?

The teaching staff and the opportunities to test and develop new skills.

What has been your favourite module of the course so far, and why?

Music, Culture and Arts Journalism. It has been the most engaging module, and I have gained so much confidence. I can conduct a professional interview and learnt skills to make contact with big names in society. For me, the foundation of journalism is culture. This module allowed me to discover more about myself, as well as the world around me.

How has this course helped you to prepare for your future career?

I have gained confidence in my ability to write and find stories, to be personable, and to always be curious. The course has given me invaluable skills and taught me what it means and how to be a successful Journalist.

What opportunities have you taken advantage of while studying here? How has this added to your time at Manchester Met?

How has studying in Manchester complimented your studies?

It’s a booming city, with always something to discover. The opportunities are endless and makes for a good city to write about.

In a couple of sentences, describe what it’s like to be a student on your course?

It’s just so much fun. From the outset everyone is friends because we have to work together to learn skills. The content is applicable to everyday life, so you learn so much about the world around you. It’s exciting, engaging and energetic.
