I graduated from St Martin’s College, Carlisle with a Bsc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree in 2006. Upon graduating I worked at The Royal Preston Hospital where I completed my core rotations in all areas of Physiotherapy. I gained a senior position in the Medical/Neuro/Elderly team but then moved back to Cumbria to work at the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven, 2009. Here I continued to develop an interest in Rehabilitation and particularly Respiratory. Following a Rotation spent with the Community Respiratory Team based at Workington Community Hospital, I then gained a permanent position with the team in 2011. Since then I have developed my skills as a Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist, working as part of a multidisciplinary Team to help patients with Chronic Lung disease manage their conditions. One of my main roles is to run Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR) within the community. This has led to my involvement in the development of Virtual Reality Pulmonary Rehabilitation; I am excited to be part of this venture and excited to see the impact it could have on the lives of our patients and the NHS as a whole.
