Cyrus is Head of Digital Partnerships at the BBC, where he leads a business development team that helps deliver the BBC’s objectives by working closely with third party companies in the digital and technology industries.

 His responsibilities include developing and managing the BBC’s relationships with digital partners, ranging from global giants such as Apple, Google and Microsoft, to new start-ups, digital production companies and digital agencies, with a view to enhancing the BBC’s digital content and services, both in the UK and internationally. Cyrus has delivered a range of new innovation projects, ranging from award winning interactive video content and virtual reality experiences to ‘holographic’ TVs and brainwave reading TV controllers.

 Cyrus originally qualified as a lawyer and worked at the international record label Ministry of Sound, where he focussed on digital content licensing and distribution deals and growing the Ministry of Sound brand internationally.

 Prior to joining the BBC, Cyrus founded a video production company, producing and directing a range of online videos, music videos and TV adverts.
