The Creative AR and VR Hub have partnered with Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and Tetra Signum, a development company from South Korea aiming to bring immersive technologies into the medical industry, who have developed a VR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) application. The Creative AR and VR Hub will be UK research partners on this project, which aims to determine the effectiveness of VR for CPR training.

A pilot study will be carried out in early 2020 and the Creative AR and VR Hub will collect both qualitative and quantitative data.

Creative approach

During this pilot study, a newly developed VR application will be tested in the UK by the Creative AR and VR Hub and the same VR application will be simultaneously tested in various destinations around the world including South Korea, America, Canada and Singapore by various research teams.

Data collection is due to commence early 2020 and results will be updated following first phase of data collection.
